“As a Muslim artist, I want to break the stigma of Islam while advancing hip-hop in order to inspire the minds of people around the world to pursue their passions no matter what obstacles lies ahead of them” - Noor 2020
Noorani Pirani, (aka Noor), is a hip-hop artist hailing from Chicago. His pursuit for hip-hop manifested through his emotional outlet in poetry combined with the need to uplift and inspire others to pursue their dreams.
Being raised in a dysfunctional household, witnessing domestic abuse, alcoholism and constant negativity, Noor grew determined to change his environment and his direction. Through focus, hard work and tenacity, music became the vehicle that elevated his spirits and gave him purpose. At 18, Noor was given the opportunity to perform at the World Trade Center in Dubai (2016), so he traveled to the Arabian Peninsula and had his first international appearance. Shortly thereafter, Noor was offered and signed a recording contract with Tympanum Chapel Records - owned by hip-hop monk, Sir the Baptist. Still at a very young age, and not quite ready for this leap, he parted with the label and embarked on an independent path to develop his sound, perfect his craft, and hone in on his mission.
